Gleirschklamm in Karwendel
The Gleirschklamm - Gleirsch Gorge - is often visited in the Karwendel mountains. It is located in one of the Karwendel valleys, which is accessible from Scharnitz. From Scharnitz you start walking at one of the paid parking spaces, direction Hinterautal. From the relatively narrow road leads to the left a bridge over the young to the Scharnitz Alm. We follow this path and reach the Nederweg. Walking enthusiasts can then migrate through the Gleirsch gorge, which goes deep in Gleirschtal. Partial pyramid-shaped rock towers are visible.
The Gleirschgorge is about one kilometer long and really only recommended for experienced hikers. In its beauty extends this gorge in the Karwendel can not match the prominent Wolfsklamm in hiking Karwendel, but is certainly worth seeing.
