The Achensee lake is embedded in the Austrian Alps at an altitude of 929 meters. In the west the Karwendel Mountains grow up to more than 2000 meters. At the east the Rofan mountains are located. The lake Achensee is the biggest lake of Tyrol.

With ambitious mountain athletes, the region has made a name for climbing and not without reason. A new climbing route, the "Achensee 5-summit-climbing" opens a whole new mountain experience. The two-kilometers climbing hiking trail leads above five central peaks of Rofan and therefore also offers five sections in five different levels of difficulty. All sections can be done individually. The climbing is for both beginners and ambitious climber who commit the five sections in one day, a challenge

You can buy the Achensee Card which provides you numerous activities. You can choose from using the cable car Rofanseilbahn and the Karwendel cable car every day unlimited. In addition, guests with the Achensee Card can drive with the boats of the Achenseeschiffahrt around the lake and use the historic railway Achenseebahn. In addition, the entrances are included to the museum world in Maurach Achensee, the museum Sixenhof in Achenkirch, the Swarovski Crystal Worlds in Wattens and the Notburga Museum in Maurach.
